Managed IT support means we look after your technology continuously, not just when it breaks. For a fixed monthly fee per user, Compufix manages your devices, Microsoft 365, security updates and day-to-day support requests, so problems are spotted early and your team has one place to go for help.
Common problems we help with
- Staff lose time to recurring computer, email and login problems
- Nobody owns updates, backups or security, so they are done inconsistently
- IT costs are unpredictable and arrive as surprise call-out bills
- New starters wait days for laptops and accounts
- You are unsure whether your data would survive a ransomware attack
How Compufix solves it
We take ownership of your IT. After an onboarding audit we document your systems, close obvious security gaps and agree a support scope. From then on we manage updates, monitor key systems, administer Microsoft 365 and handle routine support requests within a clear fair-use policy.
Managed IT support from a Chester-based team
We are based in Chester and look after businesses across Cheshire, Wrexham, Flintshire and Deeside. Most requests are handled remotely so your team gets help without waiting for a visit, and when hands-on work is needed, such as a new office network or a faulty workstation, a technician can attend by arrangement. Businesses further afield in the UK can use our managed service remotely.
What you get
Onboarding audit and documentation
A written record of your users, devices, licences, network, backups and suppliers, so knowledge no longer sits in one person's head.

Helpdesk for routine requests
Password resets, email issues, printer problems and everyday questions handled by people who know your setup.
Microsoft 365 administration
Users, licences, shared mailboxes, Teams and permissions managed and kept tidy.
Security oversight
MFA, endpoint protection, patching and sensible account policies maintained across the business.
Regular IT reviews
Periodic conversations about what is working, what is ageing and what to budget for next.

Managed IT Support FAQs
How much does managed IT support cost?
Our Managed IT Support is £50 per user per month, with a minimum monthly retainer of £250. Additional work outside the agreed scope is charged at a reduced rate of £45 per hour.
Is there a minimum contract term?
Terms are agreed during your consultation. We prefer to earn your business through good service rather than lock-in.
Do you offer on-site support?
Yes, across Chester, Cheshire and North Wales by arrangement. Most requests are resolved remotely, which is faster for everyone.
What is a fair-use policy?
It means small routine fixes are included, while larger pieces of work such as projects, migrations or hardware repairs are scoped and quoted separately so costs stay transparent.
What is the difference between managed IT and Pay As You Go?
Managed IT Support is ongoing, proactive care for a monthly per-user fee. Pay As You Go is £70 per hour for help when you ask for it, without monitoring, maintenance or security oversight. They provide different levels of cover.
Is unlimited support included?
No. Routine fixes are included under a fair-use policy. Larger work such as projects, migrations and hardware installation is scoped and quoted separately, so you always know what you are paying for.
Can you work alongside our existing IT person?
Yes. We can support an internal staff member with Microsoft 365, security and escalation, or take over specific areas they do not have time for.
